Welcome to The City
about

The City is implemented with SSI (Server-Side Includes). Dynamic elements are implemented in Javascript. This project serves several purposes: (1) it provides recognition to local poets, and (2) it is a working demonstration of Kathy Walker's Web development skills.

Future work will include integration with PHP and mySQL, which will improve the functionality of the web site. Poets will be able to access their poems online, edit them, and save the changes. Accounts will be enabled for poets and user-specific information will be retrievable from mySQL.

Kathy Walker is currently looking for either a Web Development or Software Engineering position. Interested? Contact kathyvirgw@yahoo.com.
