if i kept a watch
i cld tell you
th minute
like birth
a long time coming
or th hour
old age started
with the clicking
in my knee
then th limp
like one foot in th street
but th light & dark
of days
up & down of weeks
in & out of months
over & under of years
cycle clockless
& sobering
effects
visit suddenly
& unannounced
