\nWe have our own learning
\nto do; a river to cross,
\nbridges to burn, sins to atone.
\nYou might sink or swim
\nin the ocean of life,
\nit all depends on the baggage
\nyou swim with and the school
\nof fish that you follow.
\nThey might lift you
\nup, up, up
\ntoward the light or they
\nmight drag you
\ndown, down, down
\nto the depths of a blinding black sea;
\na living allegory to Heaven
\nand Hell. Angels and Demons
\nwatch people in personal
\npurgatories Dogma-paddling
\nto keep their heads above water;
\nafraid of drowning,
\nbut not knowing why.<\/p>\n
