Each Fall summer lies
\ndown to sleep, forest floor
\na red and gold mattress.<\/p>\n

and on and on<\/strong><\/p>\n
Here it is snowing
\ngently, quietly,
\nrelentlessly.
\nMy walk in this morning
\nthe snow falls
\naccumulating softly.
\nSlippery on my way home.
\nIt’s winter.<\/p>\n
Encountered a couple of deer,
\na lovely yellow tree
\nthat hadn’t lost its color yet,
\nred leaves underfoot.
\nCold, though.
\nOnly a half hour
\nbefore giving in
\nto the desire for warmth.<\/p>\n
I stole
\nyour goosedown comforter
\nto keep me warm at night.<\/p>\n
