We gather in wetlands in rain
\nto celebrate sunless winter solstice
\nreading poems.<\/p>\n

Four of us on Heron Boardwalk Trail
\ncross river from Towpath Trail,
\nice on water, water in air.<\/p>\n

Papers limp wet with word sing
\nour story teller mission
\nof the would of may.<\/p>\n

In this nature nurture spread,
\nwhere four or more we flock,
\nthere in poem we are.<\/p>\n

Unknown shamans
\nstumblebum dancing
\nworking the lurking away.<\/p>\n
